Automated External Defibrillator – AED
As per guidelines set by the HSE and the UK Resuscitation Council
Using AED’s in workplaces and in the general public are becoming much more common. The early use of an AED and CPR on a casualty who has suffered a sudden cardiac arrest will dramatically improve their chance of survival.
Course Duration
The course lasts for approximately 4 hours and is a mixture of practical and theory.
Assessment
Learners must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment, which is carried out by continuous observation and questioning during the course.
Qualification
On successful completion of this course, you will receive an FAIB approved certificate for safe usage of an AED defibrillator, which is valid for three years.
